Home Heating

The cold weather is upon us and already dropping down into the low 30’s.  Were sure many of you have your furnace or fireplace going to keep you warm, but have you inspected them or had a professional come in and inspect them?  We highly recommend that you hire a professional to inspect your furnace, fireplace/chimney, in order to prevent a fire.  Fire Prevention is the key.  In this economy, having an inspection done may not be on your priority list or in your budget, but what is your life and your families life worth?  In the event of a fire, we will always be here to respond, but the first step is to try and prevent these fires by getting the inspections done and cleaning done when needed.

Hope everyone has a safe and warm fall and winter season.

2010 Wilkes Barre Triathlon

Tomorrow Sunday, August 22nd is the Wilkes Barre Triathlon.  As all residents are aware there are many street closures not only in Harveys Lake, but also in other areas of the Back Mountain.  Please watch for these street closures as you are out and about.  In addition to Harveys Lake Police, we will also have Fire Police at many of the intersections that will be closed, please follow any and all direction given by them.

We will also have Water Rescue personnel in boats on the lake in the area of the swimming portion of the triathlon.  We ask that all boats not involved with the triathlon to stay clear of the swim area for not only the swimmers safety, but rescue personnel as well.
